TUESDAY
Short Mat Bowling Club 10am – 12 noon.
Meets every Tuesday and Friday mornings between 10am – 12 noon plus most Thursday evenings between 7pm – 9pm. Social bowling to encourage new and experienced players to develop their games in a friendly atmosphere. The club began over 20 years ago when a few villagers met together to experience the comparatively new sport. It is a non-profit making organisation aimed at promoting the sport of short mat bowling in North Ferriby and district. For those with a more competitive spirit the club has two teams in the Humberside League, ensuring players of all abilities can play competitively if they wish. Novice and Experienced members are always welcome to come to our meetings and have a go. No experience or equipment is required as newcomers can borrow woods and play in stocking feet if need be. After a trial period a small charge is made each session to cover hall hire and running costs. Personal equipment consists of a set of woods and a special pair of flat-soled shoes, both of which will last for many years.
