Ferriby Screen – F1 the Movie – 6th February … Click here for more info

February’s film is the exciting F1 the Movie (Cert 12) only released in cinemas in summer last year. The film is a 2025 American sports drama film starring Brad Pitt.

In the 1990s, Brad Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, was Formula 1’s most promising driver until an accident nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, the owner of a struggling Formula 1 team convinces Sonny to return to racing and become the best in the world. Driving alongside the team’s hotshot rookie, Sonny soon learns that the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.

A great story, actually filmed at Formula One Grand Prix weekends, we’re showing it in full 4K resolution with 7.1 surround sound; it’ll be an exhilarating evening whether or not you know anything about motorsport!

The film was directed by Joseph Kosinski from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger. Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem also star in supporting roles.

2026 marks 10 years since the death of the late, great Victoria Wood.

Now you can be at what the Daily Mail called “The most feel-good show in town”, as Paulus The Cabaret Geek and pianist Michael Roulston celebrate her life in “Looking For Me Friend”.

The show is filled with Victoria’s best-loved songs, including the iconic ‘Ballad of Barry & Freda’ (Let’s Do It) and the classic ‘It Would Never Have Worked’. It’s been welcomed by many of Victoria’s very own school friends, family and colleagues.

“Looking For Me Friend” is for fans of Victoria and for those yet to discover her, to come together and relish her breathtaking wizardry with words. Telling Victoria’s story, Paulus unfolds his own – a relatable story of a 1970s childhood and what it really means to ‘find your tribe’.

So, in Victoria’s words, “Pair your stilettos with an oven glove, zip up your cocktail slacks” – and get booking!
